At beginning of April, the German DKM 2022 championship started in Kerpen, where the Czech Forza Racing team with David Gorčica was also present. For David, the premiere was not only this circuit, but also the DKM series itself and only the second start in the OK Junior class.
The premiere was a bit wild, not only in terms of the weather: the sun alternated with clouds, it was dry as well as rainy and snowy. David failed to qualify and did not complete it by mistake. But David didn’t give up and jumped into Saturday’s qualifying races with the determination to fight for the result. He started twice from the back of the starting field, but each time he bit forward. First on P11, second on P14. As a result, he moved to the P12 starting field for Sunday’s final races. The first Sunday final meant a slight drop to P15. But David had a great start, he was gradually moving forward again, taking advantage of his opponents’ mistakes and keeping up the pace. Unfortunately, a few laps before the finish line, the throttle cable broke and all was beyond hope …
It’s a pity, but it’s the beginning of the season and the chances of a good result will definitely come.
