5 times podium at Steelring

MS KART racing team had a very successful weekend in Trinec, where our drivers gained totally 5 trophies. On the circuit near the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains, the weather was changeable and the mechanics had to be constantly alert because of the threat of rain. In the end, however, all the races were run on dry tyres and it only started to rain during the closing ceremony. On the beautiful circuit in the Czech steel capital, the competitors enjoyed the 3rd round of the MP & MSR and Rotax Max Challenge at full throttle.

Jakub Kopecký experienced a weekend of top positions in Rotax Mini and like Rozálie Rabasová, Filip Rabas, Lucie Zimmelová and Tomáš Javůrek benefited from his participation in the SKP, which took place on the same track the previous weekend. In addition, Kuba set the second fastest qualifying time, which helped him to be in the leading group in the race and fight for the podium. He narrowly missed that in the end, finishing fourth.

The results of Rozalie Rabasová in Rotax Micro have not been officially evaluated yet. Due to the intervention of the technicians and a few protests, they will be announced later, when a decision on their regularity will be made. However, if they were valid without the intervention of the scrutineers, we could call Rozi a surprise winner of the qualification and they would bring another podium for our team.

Filip Rabas, our representative in Rotax Junior had a weekend in which he gradually improved. He showed a good performance in the third race, where he took P3 in the Moravian Cup, and 5th overall.

Tomáš Filipenský won two races and finished P3 in heat 3, which meant overall victory in ROK category. He had a very convincing start and his rivals had a lot to do to catch him in the race. The only exception was race 3 when he didn’t have the kart set up optimally and finished third.

Jakub Kadlčák and David Gorčica dominated the KZ2 category, with both of them using this race as a training before the upcoming Czech Championship in Trinec. David even beat our team leader by a small margin in qualifying, but in the races Kuba took care of it and finished all his runs in first place without any problems. Dave struggled a bit with his starts in Trinec, which he will have to work on, but otherwise he showed a great pace, close behind Kuba. The royal category ended with a beautiful double for MS KART with a privateer Dominik Piatrik on as well on MS completingthe podium on P3. It is a great pity that another KZ driver of our team, Filip Vloch, was unable to take part in the 3rd round of this serie due to illness, we wish Filip a speedy recovery!

We would like to thank all our drivers and mechanics for great cooperation and to Macháč Motors for the engines. We are looking forward to seeing you next weekend, 8th-9th June, at Hradiště in Písek, where the 3rd race of the Czech Championship awaits us. Come and support our drivers!
