In the second round of the Czech Championship and the Czech Kart Trophy, which took place at Steel Ring in Třinec last weekend, our MS KART racing team had the largest representation in KZ2. Jakub Kadlčák #153 together with our mechanics managed to find a perfect chassis set up and he was the fastest driver in free practice sessions. A minor technical fault in time practice meant P4 and the first final on Saturday evening ended shortly after the start due to a big collision with a rival in the first corner. Jakub finished P3 in final 2 and he managed to fight his way up from P8 to P5 in superfinal. Jirka Šafránek #46 set the 12th time and finished P7 in the 1st final heat. On Sunday, Jirka finished both final runs identically at P18. Martin Konopka #111 was also competing in KZ2 and although he was not satisfied with his performance in time practice, he came from P14 at the start to a nice P6 in final 1. On Sunday he added points for P11 and P10.
A nice steady performance in KZ2 Gentleman by Jan Šafránek #69, who finished P4 in time practice. Jan maintained this position in both final heats and in the Superfinal.
In Mini 60 Filip Kovalik #24 had his best results so far in a very competitive field. In the first final Filip finished P11 overall and on Sunday he managed to get into the top ten on an excellent P7 and P8! He took the well-deserved winner’s trophy on the podium in the PAČR ranking!
Once again the MS KART team had a female representation, thanks to Greta Polmova #111 in the Baby 60 class. Greta showed a nice performance, taking P8 overall in time practice and P9 , P10 and P11 in final heats. She finished in a nice P6 in ACR Cup.
Tomas Filipensky #88 competed in ROK GP. He set P11 in time practice and got 3 x P10 in final heats.
