Jakub Kadlčák dominated round 5 of the Czech Champ in Vysoke Myto!

On 19 – 21 August, the fifth race of the Czech Championship took place at Vysoke Myto Autodrome. The KZ2 category was dominated by the factory driver of MS KART Racing Team Jakub Kadlčák #153, who together with the mechanics managed to set up his kart perfectly and in cooperation with Macháč Motors did not give the rivals a chance. Jakub won the time practice on dry and took pole position on the grid for the first final run on Saturday evening. The race took place in heavy rain and very poor visibility. The track conditions were really extreme and two laps from the finish the race was stopped, at which point Kuba was in the lead, which he took shortly after the start. He crossed the finish line as the winner in the second wet race on Sunday morning and capped off his triumph with a sovereign victory in the Super Final on a dry track in the afternoon!

Jirka Šafránek #46 showed a great performance in the same category, especially in the first final when he went from P13 to P4! In the second heat he finished in a packed top ten, specifically on P9 and crossed the finish line in the Superfinal as 11th.

Martin Konopka #111 didn’t have a completely happy start due to the failed timed practice (P20), but in the first run he made his way to P11, in the second he finished in a great 6th position and in the Superfinal he finished 13th.

Jan Šafránek #69 defended the team’s blue and red colours in the KZ2 Gentleman class and started the race weekend in full swing: P4 in time practice and the same result in the first heat was a super performance. Then bad luck struck and in Sunday’s races Honza had to settle for eighth and seventh.

In the same category, on the other hand, Josef Barilla #44 shone, who did really well both on the water and on dry track and got a great P3 in Superfinal!

Tomáš Filipenský #88 took P7 in qualification of ROK category and in the final heats he achieved very good results P5, P10 and P5.

Filip Kovalík #24 showed great form in Mini 60: P5 and P2 in the first two runs were promising results for the start of the Superfinal, where Filip set the fastest time and showed a great pace: he crossed the finish line in fifth position in the overall standings, first in his category and close behind the top. Unfortunately, 0,5 kg under the weight limit deprived him of the victory in PAČR…

Grétka Polmová #111 added two nines from the second and third runs to a nice 4th place in the first final of Baby 60. Ondrej Umlauf #14 placed 12th in the same category.
