Lucas Ellingham would of won all 3 heats, if the engine would of not seized on the last lap of heat 2. He then recovered to P2 in the final with fastest lap. Sam Baker was very strong and did a solid job to finish 6th. Alfie Briggs won all 3 heats and the final in Mini X30.
Also Morgan Hill performed well against tough competition. He was in the battle for 5th and after a tense last few laps he crossed the line 8th. In IAME cadet Ben finished a solid 3rd in a drying final!
Louis Dymond continued his good form in senior x30. In the dry on Saturday he was so fast posting times faster than any other driver on circuit. Sunday would be much tougher with the wet and changing conditions but he drove a great final in the damp to finish 3rd with fastest lap. However with the mad change on the grid he forgot to add weight and came in 200 grams under weight… Gutted for him but still great driving all weekend and a good sign on things to come.
Other senior drivers Simon and Rich also had solid weekends. Simon got a great start in the final into 4th, he slipped back to finish 11th one ahead of Rich who was his first time at Kimbolton.
