What a weekend for the final round of the British Superkart Racing Club championship at Donington Park! Qualifying didn’t go to plan and with a lot of traffic Lee only got P6. It rained in race 1 on the out lap and on slicks he struggled for grip and finished 5th. Lee had a great start in race 2 and cleared off but the rear tyres blistered and he ended up 4th. Race 3 was the big one for the championship with only 4 points separating Lee and Sam. Lee got into the lead and pulled a good gap but back markers and lots of yellow flags played a massive part. But Lee got the win by just 0.4 of a second giving him the championship!
“Massive thanks to Dave Harvey at Harvey motorsport for the great chassis MS Kart and great reliability from the Harvey VM motor! Thanks for the support from Paul Wheatley NGK Spark plugs and all the help hard work and support from mum, dad, Emm Cooper. Roll on next year.”
