The young and talented female racing driver Lizzy Mentier, competing for the British JDR team in the ROTAX Junior category, showed a great performance in the 4th round of Trent Valley Kart Club at PFI.
In a packed starting grid of 47 drivers the qualifying practice didn’t go completely smoothly. Lizzy had to pass karts and battle on her 3 laps qualifying. She qualified 19th overall.
In the 1st heat she started from 13th position and finished 8th. In the second heat she fought her way up from 13th to 5th. With the heats done and points added up it meant Lizzy was starting the A final in P9. She then put up a great fight in the A final and finally passed the chequered flag on P2!
“Big thanks to Matt the man on the spanners. Jack of Jack Dex Racing. I would also like to mention Keith DexKing for making an appearance in the awning over the weekend and supporting all the JDR Drivers. Massive thanks as always to sponsors and partners without you I couldn’t do this. A much better result than the weekend before,” said happy Lizzy at the end of the race.
