The weather was bitter cold during the pelultimate race of WKMC, the snow held off until early evening.
After a heat win from starting P4 and a 4th from starting P27, Lucas Ellingham #99 was on pole for the final. After pulling a 2 second lead in just one lap it looked like Lucas was going to dominate the race, only to have engine issues and DNF. Luckily, his excellent heat results secured him the championship win with one round to go so Lucas was declared as Wilton Mill Kart Club X30 Senior Champion for 2021!
Jude Fernihough had an incident in Heat 1 and was down to 30th but climbed his way up to 14th. He drove an awesome race in Heat 2 from 26th to 6th! Unfortunately, a DNF in the final for him too but demonstrated great speed and race craft.
Jake Yanagisawa also had a great day. Finishing 6th from 10th in Heat 1 and going from 23rd to 15th in Heat 2. The tricky final conditions saw him as high as 4th at one point but ended up crossing the line in 11th.
