For the first race of this season, the MS Kart Racing Team went with two KZ2 class drivers Jakub Talas and Jiri Safranek to the 32rd edition of Margutti Trophy in South Garda Karting Italy. A busy racing field and extremely variable weather conditions meant a great challenge for both riders and mechanics.
Jakub finished in the hard race weekend with several tough contacts from rivals during qualifying hets on P19 which is a decent result in the competition of 51 pilots. Jiri did not qualify for the final.
The race brought a lot of experience to the whole team. “I am quite satisfied with the results and I am glad that we take a few important findings for further work with the chassis, which worked very well both on dry and wet track,” said chief mechanic Jirka Kahuda. Thanks to both drivers and also to Ivan Cermak, the 2nd mechanic, for good teamwork.
