In the first round of LGM at PFI Morgan Hill qualifying 4th out of 31 Mini X30 and MINI Max together. After an incident that really wasn’t his fault he was disqualified from qualifying which meant a start from the back in all heats.
Heat 1: last to 3rd, heat 2: last to 4th, Final 3rd to 3rd. “I didn’t think I was going to make the final because my exhaust was broken but only noticed last minute. A team mate lent us his spare and the team managed to get me out. On the warm up lap I realised I had no power so I had to just push and keep pushing,” says Morgan.
“Thanks to my new MS KART which was awesome. Team boss Jack Dex, Jamie Tyler and a massive thank you to Ralph who supported us all weekend!”
Great job by Sam on Monday in Juniors. He looked good for a top 10 until a spin avoiding another kart. He still finished a very respectable 16th.
Gracie also did really well in Minis. Fresh off novice plates, going straight into a national LGM grid, she didn’t look out of place at all. She finished P8 in the final which was very impressive.
George was really unlucky not to start the final with a Starter Motor failure. He looked good in the wet all day.
Also a big thank you to all the parents and mechanics for helping battle the elements to help pack away. A great team.
