Lee Harpham and tricky race at Silverstone

Fans of fast superkart races did not miss the BARC-Live race at Silverstone on August 21st-22nd where also Lee Harpham started on his MS chassis and Harvey-VM engine.

Changeable weather conditions caused a mixed race weekend. Practice went ok on Friday with no issues. Qualifying saw us in pole in tricky conditions up until the last minute when we were in the pits putting down to 3rd.

Race one we struggled with grip due to the wrong tyre pressures in tricky conditions on wets and finished 6th. Race 2 was dry but struggling with straight line speed ended up finishing 5th with some good battles.

Race 3 with a few setup changes got us up to P3 but then back markers meant we dropped to P4 and ran out of time to get the place back.

Massive thanks for all the hard work from Dave Harvey and Rod Harpham, the support from Paul Wheatley NGK spark plugs and the support from the family. Roll on Cadwell Park this weekend for the last round of the British Superkart Championhip.

Thanks for the pictures to Steve Addison.
