This year’s meeting of drivers, mechanics and other members of the MS KART racing team was unconventional and off the track: on Saturday, November 2, we met in Polná at Jihlava, where thanks to Tomas and Lucie Filipensky we spent pleasant moments in their family wine shop and also in the beautiful premises of the local brewery Měšt’anský pivovar.
The weather was nice, so nothing prevented us from starting the afternoon program with a walk through the beauty of Polná. We visited historical places full of traditions and mysterious stories. We saw the castle and the chateau, admired the Church of the Assumption, walked through the old Jewish quarter with its unique synagogue, the Jewish cemetery and even stopped at the grave of Anežka Hrůzová. We ended our pleasant journey into the past at the Peklo pond, where we warmed ourselves by the fire and refreshed ourselves with brats and mulled wine.
In the evening we moved to the local brewery, where the festive part of the program followed. The personal presentation of all drivers with photos and results from the past 2024 season was a touching moment full of appreciation and joy, where everyone could see their performances in a broader context and remind themselves how far they have come. Of course, there was also a thank you for the teamwork throughout the year and the presentation of trophies, which are a reminder of the success and effort that each of the drivers and mechanics put into the season.
A delicious dinner was followed by free entertainment and a move to the wine shop, where a relaxed and joyful atmosphere prevailed. We reminisced about our experiences together and enjoyed relaxing moments without the adrenaline of racing…
