The Rotax Max Challenge Czech Republic, MP & MSR series continued with its sixth round at Slovakiaring, where the persistent rain brought extremely challenging conditions for both drivers and organizers. Continuous downpours and large puddles on the track complicated the races until Sunday afternoon, when the weather finally improved and the track began to dry. Despite the unfavorable circumstances, the race weekend went without any major accidents, giving drivers a valuable opportunity to refine their wet-weather racing skills.
Jakub Kadlčák performed excellently in the KZ2 category. The wet and cold track didn’t limit him, and he secured victories in all three final races, clinching the overall first place. Lucka Zimmelová also handled her debut KZ2 race on a wet track with great composure. She showcased strong pace by finishing fifth in the timed practice, thoroughly enjoying the races despite a few mistakes and technical issues that prevented her from starting the first race. In the remaining heats, she fought her way up from the back to finish in P6. Our third representative in this class was Filip Vloch, who placed P4 in the timed practice and aimed for a podium finish. Unfortunately, technical issues and the challenging conditions led to a difficult weekend for him, finishing in P8.
Tomáš Javůrek won all the races in the DD2 class, and at the end of this demanding weekend, he was rewarded with the coveted ticket to the RMC Grand Finals 2024, which will take place in October in Sarno, Italy. This achievement marks another significant milestone in Tomáš’ career, and we offer him our heartfelt congratulations!
In the ROK category, Tomáš Filipenský represented our team and fought hard for the top spot on the soaked Slovakiaring track. Besides battling the weather, he also struggled with technical issues. Although the engine finally worked perfectly in the last race, a skid and crash into the barriers cost him the victory, and he finished overall in P2. However, Tom is satisfied with the outcome, as he primarily used this race as preparation for the final round of the Czech Kart Open, which will take place on the same track in two weeks.
Tadeáš Radvan faced tough conditions and stiff competition in the highly contested Rotax Max Senior class, finishing in 15th place. The many laps completed on the wet and cold track will undoubtedly aid his continued development as a driver. He is sure to benefit from these new experiences in the final round of the Czech Kart Open in the OK category.
We extend our thanks to all drivers and mechanics for their excellent teamwork. The next event will be the seventh and final round of the MP & MSR series at Steelring in Třinec, from October 27-29. We look forward to seeing you there!
