The Rotax Max Challenge CR, MP, and MSR series returned to home soil after the Austrian round in Bruck, with the 5th round of the championship taking place in Vysoké Mýto from August 9-11. The entire weekend was blessed with beautiful sunny weather, and the strong competition ensured thrilling races across all categories.
Our youngest racer, Anička Radvanová, competed in the Školní 50 category, gaining more valuable experience and adding another race to her growing record.
Rozálie Rabasová had a successful weekend in the Rotax Micro Max category, winning the first and third heats. Unfortunately, she was taken out in the second heat, but she still secured an excellent 2nd place overall.
Jakub Kopecký delivered a consistent performance in the Rotax Minimax category, earning a solid 3rd place finish.
In the Rotax Max Junior category, we were represented by Matyáš Kučera and Filip Rabas. Matyáš fought his way up from the back of the grid, pushing hard to understand the limits of the track and his kart, eventually finishing in a respectable 8th place. Filip had a strong weekend, finishing 2nd in both the first and second heats, which earned him 4th place overall.
Pavel Sovička faced strong competition in the KZ2 Gentleman category. Among 24 drivers, he showed impressive speed and fought through several intense battles, ultimately finishing in 6th place.
Lucie Zimmelová competed in her second race in the prestigious KZ2 category and had a challenging time. After an incident in the first heat, she lost several positions and had to fight her way back up, finishing in a commendable 7th place overall. Filip Vloch, the second driver in the same class, was hit with a bumper penalty in the first heat, dropping him to 7th place. However, he fought back in the subsequent heats, finishing 4th and 2nd. Troy Sovička battled hard for every position, ultimately finishing 10th, gaining valuable experience and determination to improve in future races.
Tomáš Filipenský showcased strong pace and consistency in the ROK category, finishing 3rd in two heats and crossing the line in 2nd in the final heat, earning him a well-deserved 3rd place overall. Tomáš Javůrek also stood on the podium, claiming 2nd place in all three finals of the Rotax DD2 category—congratulations!
Tadeáš Radvan took a break from the OK category to compete in Rotax Senior at Vysoké Mýto. In a highly competitive field, he fought for every position, finishing in 20th place and gaining a wealth of new experience to apply in future races.
