The French team D Racing, our official MS KART dealer in France, competed at the Kart Mag event in Varennes with five drivers on MS KART chassis – and all five made it through to the Final!
An outstanding performance came from Mike Meynard, who only got his first experience with the MS KART chassis on Thursday before the race. Despite this, he managed to take P1 in his qualifying group, was P2 after the heats, and then went on to win the Prefinal. Unfortunately, his excellent weekend ended with a DNF in the Final.
Gabin Midali also showed great pace in the Minime category. With just two laps to go in the Final, he was fighting for a podium position, but unfortunately his race also ended with a DNF.
Philippe Romero delivered an excellent performance in the Gentlemen category, taking P1 on track.
For Enzo Beaudou and Nils Dussoliet, it was their first race in the Nationale category. Enzo drove a very strong Prefinal to finish P8, while Nils put in a solid performance to take P13 in the Prefinal.
Overall, it was a very successful weekend for D Racing and MS KART – five drivers on the grid and all five making it to the Final, along with a victory, a fight for the podium, and very promising performances from drivers making their first starts in new categories.
The next stop at Varennes will be the IAME Series, where Mallet Loevan and Yolan will join the five-driver line-up.
