Slovakia Ring hosted the opening round of this year’s MP and MSR season on April 4–5.
Our drivers competed across six categories and showed their strength right from the start of the season.
The biggest highlight came from Filip Vloch, who claimed victory in the KZ2 MSR category. Friday engine issues didn’t look promising, as reduced performance was already evident in qualifying. But Filip turned things around. He fought his way to P3 in the first heat, finished P2 in the second, and dominated the final race with a six-second lead.
A well-deserved overall win after a challenging weekend.
In KZ2 Masters, Jaroslav Capík secured an excellent second place. He delivered consistent performances throughout the weekend without mistakes, and P2 accurately reflects his pace. Josef Barilla completed the podium in third place, also with a clean run. Pavel Sovička finished P8, closing the trio of MS KART Masters drivers.
In the highly competitive KZ2 MP category, Lukáš Lehnert claimed third place.
In the MSR classification, Lukáš Babáček finished fourth and Matyáš Kučera eighth. Both had solid weekends without major issues – Babáček was satisfied with his performance, while Kučera expected more but showed strong pace as the weekend progressed.
In Rotax DD2 MP, Adam Leffler took second place thanks to consistent results across all races.
Filip Valenta finished fourth in the MSR classification of the same category.
Benedek Vida had an unfortunate start with a disqualification in the first race, costing him valuable points. He fought back in the following races, but the deficit resulted in an overall P5 in MP.
Samuel Novák in Micro MAX MP started the weekend well, but the final race didn’t go his way, leaving him in eighth overall. Still, he showed strong potential in the earlier heats.
Lubomír Jáchym finished just off the podium in Baby 60 MP, taking fourth place.
Overall, a solid start to the season – a win, multiple podium finishes, and strong, consistent performances across the board. At the same time, every driver knows where there’s still room for improvement.
Thanks to all drivers, mechanics, and families for a great weekend. 👊
