South Garda Karting in Lonato once again proved why it’s one of the most demanding circuits of the season. Changing conditions throughout the weekend — dry sessions mixed with rain in the final heats — reshuffled the field and punished every mistake.
MS KART Racing Team lined up with three drivers: Lucie Zimmelová and Filip Vloch in KZ2, and Samuel Novák in Mini 60.
⸻
Lucie Zimmelová arrived in Italy straight from the USA, where she had spent the past six months. No acclimatization, jet lag, and minimal preparation time — she was already back in the kart on Tuesday.
Despite that, her pace in practice was strong. Qualifying, however, didn’t go as planned, placing her 58th out of 64 drivers. From that point on, it was all about fighting back.
Positions gained in every heat, clean overtakes, consistent speed. The third heat in the rain ended prematurely, but in the repechage Lucie showed real determination — climbing from P30 to P19, despite two on-track incidents.
A result that reflects true racing character.
⸻
Filip Vloch had a similar start to the weekend, qualifying P59. But like Lucie, he kept moving forward with every session.
Consistent progress, gaining positions, controlled and solid performance. In the third heat, a dropped front fairing slowed him down, yet he still climbed from P30 to P19 — a performance that does not go unnoticed.
In the repechage, he started P14 and finished P17. It wasn’t enough to reach the prefinal, but the performance trend throughout the weekend speaks clearly — the direction is right.
⸻
Samuel Novák competed in the Mini 60 category against 18 drivers, many of them older and more experienced. He qualified P9 and improved in every heat — finishing P10, P8, and P6.
Starting P7 in the prefinal, he finished ninth. In the final, he started P9 but got caught in traffic at the start, dropping deep into the field. He fought back to finish P12.
For Samuel, this was only his second race in Italy — and a valuable experience for the future.
⸻
Trofeo Margutti is not just a race. It’s a test.
A test of speed, adaptability, and mental strength.
MS KART Racing Team passed that test.
Not without challenges — but with clear progress.
And that’s what racing is all about. 🏁🔥
