The RMC Czech Republic, MP and MSR 2024 series completed its seventh and final round at the Steelring track in Třinec on 27-29 September. The weather was traditionally autumnal – changeable, with alternating rain and drought, which brought challenging conditions for all competitors. Nevertheless, the whole weekend passed without any serious incidents and everyone had a great opportunity to improve their technique and prepare for the final race runs of the season.
Tomáš Filipenský in the ROK category focused this weekend mainly on fine-tuning his kart for the upcoming MČR. Despite the bad weather, he managed to get close to the first place from qualifying and after a great performance, he placed P1. The team’s decision regarding the set-up was right every step of the way, which led to his satisfaction.
Tomáš Javůrek in the Rotax DD2 category put in a dominant performance throughout the weekend. Already in Friday’s practice sessions he and Filipenský showed that they can ride at a high level even on the water. Saturday and Sunday then brought steady results on P1, which only confirmed his performance. Without any problems and with a good mood he rode to a well-deserved victory.
Filip Vloch had a hectic weekend in the KZ2 category, as he spent Saturday morning at the rally. He then moved quickly to Steelring to jump into his kart to race. Despite the demanding schedule, he managed to take P2 in Třinec; he was satisfied not only with the result, but also with the times he set on the track.
In the KZ2 category, Lucie Zimmelová really enjoyed Saturday’s race, where she was able to catch up with the other fast drivers. Although qualifying did not go as expected, she started the first final run very well and was happy with her performance on the dry track. She was sorry that she couldn’t take part in the 2 runs on Sunday, but still finished the race weekend on P5.
Slovakiaring closed this year’s season and we would like to thank all the drivers, mechanics, Macháč Motors and the organizers for their great work throughout the year.
Now we are just waiting for the autumn ceremony, where the champions will be crowned in the individual categories of MP, MSR and also in the ROTAX Max Challenge 2024. Thank you for your support and we look forward to the next season together!
