Successful Steelring: 9 x podium for MS KART

The second race of the Moravian Cup, MSR and Rotax Max Challenge CZ in Třinec brought ideal dry conditions and pleasant spring temperatures. Our drivers showed beautiful battles across categories, achieved 3 victories and totally 9 podium finished.

Samuel Novák confirmed with his second position in qualification that he is the favourite in Baby 60. This time, however, we were troubled by technical problems and the final 3rd place was both disappointing and a challenge for the next races.

Jaroslav Capík, after a brilliant qualifying in KZ2, once again dictated the pace of the heats. His sovereign performance led to victory in all heats and a final P1. His teammate Josef Barilla kept a competitive pace and finished the superfinal on P3.

Lucie Zimmelová had the fastest practice lap in KZ2 on Friday and was hoping for a podium finish after a fast start. However, due to engine problems she lost power in the race. A penalty in the 2nd and a retirement from the 3rd heat moved her up to P6. Her speed and tenacity confirm her great potential.

Filip Vloch won the pre-final after P3 in qualifying and repeated the victory in the final heat, although the engine lacked power at times. In the superfinal, Filip held the lead from start to finish and scored a well-deserved P1.

Tomáš Filipenský started the weekend with a technical DNF in the first heat, but from the second heat he started to gain positions. In the second heat he finished fourth and in the third he took third place. In the superfinal he showed that he can react to overheating tyres and for the first time in Trinec he was on P3.

The trio in MS KART colours was completed on the podium by Michal Pavelka, who is on the front positions this year with his new chassis.

David Rosypal kept a steady pace in the ROK category. After a P3 in qualifying and three third places in heats, he also finished the superfinal on P3.

Tomáš Javůrek struggled with the optimal set-up in the Rotax DD2 category on Friday, but on Saturday he caught the pressure in the tyres and took second place in qualifying and in all the following heats. In the final heat, he also confirmed silver behind the winning Jakub Běžel driving the same MS KART Blue Phoenix chassis.

Thanks to the mechanics, partners and families for the great work and support!

The next challenge is the Czech Kart Open in Wackersdorf on 23-25 May 2025.
Keep your fingers crossed!
